Special actions were carried out within its framework in 10 regions including Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Bryansk, Orel, Ulyanovsk, Moscow Regions, Chuvash Republic, Republic of Mordovia, Republic of Tatarstan and Moscow city. News conferences with delegates from the local Road Traffic Safety Inspectorates, executive power bodies and culture circles were held in each region. Besides, explanatory work was undertaken to reason the personnel of maternity homes and other healthcare institutions that newborns should be transported in infant bucket seats on their very first trip from a maternity home.

Interactive performances for kids were staged in kindergartens and shopping centers. The key idea of the events was to point out to the parents that a child car seat is an invaluable New Year gift which can save life and preserve health of their children.

The prime focus groups of the “Child Seat to Children” campaign are future parents and parents with preschool children. The objective is to convince parents that child transportation is impossible without a special car seat. This device should be among the first vital purchases after baby’s birth along with a cot and a baby carriage. If every kid travels in a car seat the road casualties among children will decline significantly.

On 17 December 2012 during the news conference representatives from the Road Traffic Safety Department, Ministry of Health and Social Development, RAMI, public organizations and other stakeholders will summarize and assess the outcomes of the campaign.
